I love my blogger friends, they inspire me! After reading a post over on Douglas' blog about how good he is when his mom brushes his teeth, I decided it was really time to start trying to brush Jacque and Pippen's teeth. Unlike Douglas, they were not at all thrilled about this! I already had toothbrushes and some peanut butter flavored toothpaste. So I started out by putting a little bit on my finger and trying to see if either were at all interested. Being the spoiled little doggies that they are, they were not at all impressed by toothpaste that tastes like peanut butter when they can get the real thing!! Pippen wouldn't even come near it and Jacque sniffed a little. I decided this was going to take more than just easing the in, this was going to take the one thing that works....pure bribery! Each night before bed Jacque and Pippen get a little biscuit. So I made getting the biscuit a reward for a little toothbrushing. I started with just getting the toothbrush to touch their teeth and now, about a week later, I an actually get a fairly good brushing! Even on Pippen!! I'm pretty happy with myself and them! Of course, this takes both my hands so I don't have any picture to show you! So I will leave you with a picture of a purse I just finished and listed in my etsy store featuring some adorable Scottie Dog fabric!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my etsy store is up and running and I've had my first sale thanks to my wonderful Scottie friend Kat and Lizzie (she's the scottie!!). So exciting!!! I'll post a few pictures of some of the items. Definitely more to come!! I found some adorable plaid and Scottie dog silhouette art on etsy that I am currently experimenting with making glass tile pendants, rings and possibly earrings and also some fun bottle cap magnets! Stay tuned!!

Etsy!
I love to sew and knit and just craft in general. I have since I was little and my mom sent me to sewing classes at Daisy Kingdom and Josephine's Dry Goods in downtown Portland. I took lessons from a private teacher for years after with a friend and it's always been a fun hobby for me. I decided to try my hand at making some items to sell on Etsy! My shop will be called sewTootsie! I am still in the process of whipping up some items to put up, but I finished an item today - my first with my logo label! My husband's good friend Jon designed it for me!
Here's my finished zip pouch! It's a wonderful pattern by Keyka Lou! This one happens to be a gift for a friend of mine and it turned out wonderful! I really love this cherry blossom fabric.
The inside of the pouch has a zip pocket and an open pocket behind! See that cute little logo there?! Love it! I should have taken a closer picture! The Scottie has a cute little polka dotted bow and there is a needle with thread after the sew. My mom, to this day, calls me Tootsie. Who know why, she just does!
Jacque is just waiting to go and see all the cute items I'm going to make!!
