My first blogged sewing project!

I hadn't sewn anything in a few days and was feeling the itch! I have a few (well, more than a few!!) projects in the wings, but I still need to pick up some more (hahahaha!) fabric and patterns. I ran across a tutorial for an adorable little drawstring bag over at In Color Order and I knew it would be perfect for some fabric celebrating my alma mater Oregon State University!

Here are my fabric choices, all pieces I had on hand. One good thing about having gone to a school whose colors are associated with a holiday is that when that holiday comes around, and goes, there are tons of crafting items in those colors!!

Confession time, I was also watching an ESPN documentary while I was cutting my fabric and I cut them wrong! Therefore my bag turned out tall and skinny, instead of square! Oh well! It's still super cute! I love this bag and is perfect as a reusable fabric gift bag!

Here's my finished bag posing with my lovely Bernina 380.
